Manhattan KS Carpet Cleaning - Little Apple Carpet Cleaning

What should I do about spots on the carpet?

An important thing to remember about spot cleaning is to address it early. 90% or more of spots properly treated within a couple of days will come out.  Only when the spots are allowed to chemically react with the carpet fibers over time do they become permanent. Be sure to test whatever cleaner you are using in an inconspicuous area of the carpet first. This is very important because many cleaners will bleach carpets and can make the problem worse. Many home remedies are available online such as vinegar; hydrogen peroxide, non-bleach laundry detergent, or store bought cleaner based mixtures which can be effective for getting rid of common spots. A professional general spotter provided by our carpet cleaning technician is best because it is pH neutral and avoids any sticky residue that will lead to rapid re-soiling of the area. Our technician will also have available a professional spotting kit and use products and methods internationally recognized for treating spots when necessary. Additional tips for spot treating and maintenance are also provided at the time of the service specific to your individual set of circumstances.
