Manhattan KS Carpet Cleaning - Little Apple Carpet Cleaning

What is a carpet protectant and how does it work?

A carpet protectant is applied to the surface of the carpet after cleaning. It provides a barrier which coats the individual fibers of the carpet.  When there is a spill or spot placed on the carpet, the protectant will prevent interaction between the carpet materials and contaminate, thus protecting it from damaging chemical reactions. These spots are much easier to remove saving you time and energy. The majority of carpets today are manufactured with carpet protectants build into them. This protectant wears off over time and will need to be reapplied by our qualified technician. You may be familiar with products like Teflon and Scotch-guard applied to kitchen pots and pans. These are also used commonly in carpet protectants and serve a similar function by reducing adherence of contaminates in a carpet.
